​Procurement’s Critical Role in Supply Chain Management 

More than just purchasing, procurement plays a critical role impacting every phase of the supply chain including planning, scheduling, inventory management materials disposition and logistics. This lunch-and-learn session starts with a high-level view of this critical function leading to a discussion of the unique challenges and opportunities procurement addresses in today’s fast-changing business environment. Procurement is much more than just ‘buying’.  Bring your lunch, gather your friends and colleagues and join the discussions. This lunch-and-learn is a free service offered by the Northern New England chapter of ASCM at no cost for members and guests.  

Presenter: Paul Moriarty CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, CPSSM, MBA

Paul Moriarty has more than 25 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management and Operations. A Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from Institute for Supply Management as well as APICS CLTD, CPIM and CSCP, Paul is a recognized instructor for CLTD, CPIM, CSCP, as well as CPSM. In addition, he has developed and taught introductory courses and custom courseware for companies in related areas.

Paul holds an MBA and is the owner of PFM& Associates. He is president and education director of Northern New England chapter of ASCM.
